Rainbows and Sunshine

Hello CDD Friends I hope you enjoyed the last release! Waleska here with a very fun project for you! with the cute little umbrellas from the Rainbows and Sunshine set!

For this project I did a lot of paper piecing and hand cutting which I love doing! I wanted to have all the umbrellas in different colors so I stamped the different umbrellas in beautiful Doodlebug cardstock to give the umbrellas different patterns, after that I cut only the umbrellas and color with markers some details of them.  I stamped the umbrellas all over the front part of the card and glue the pieces, I added sequins in different colors and use the same doodlebugs paper for the card base!  I felt the front part of the card had a lot so I stamped the sentiment in the inside of the card.

This is another way you can use the paper scraps you have around! I hope you give this idea a try!!

Hello Friends and Welcome to another inspiration card for the Always Fun Challenge blog!!! The theme for this week is "Graduation"and I went for a non traditional Graduation card with a Congrats sentiment.

I stack 5 congrats dies to create the dimension and added clear sequins.

Dream Big

Hello Craftin Desert Divas Fans! Waleska here to share with
you a very Dreamy card! with my favorite little girl!
And two complementary colors that look great together.

For this one I used the Inside Scalloped Circle dies in different
sizes to create some focal points in my card and color the
outside part of the circle with a red marker and the inside part
with Merman ink.   I color the sheep and clouds with a grey
marker to give kind of a fluffy feel!  I added some touches of
Stickles to the girl pijamas and added sequins in two
different colors.

I hope you can be inspired to use complementary colors in
your cards, you can use a Color Wheel for that!

The beautiful inspiration has some light colors
that inspire me to create this card!

Crafts and Tumbled Glass distress ink.
I used the flower from Thankful by Julie with
gold embossing powder on lilac and light blue cardstock
I finally die cut the Beyoutiful sentiment and added
some touches here and there of gold embossing powder.

and added a little color with blue sparkle washi tape and
a stripe of green cardstock
The stamp sets are from My Favorite Things:
Penguins in Paradise

Nautical Cards

Hello Friends!! I have been very Nautical this days with the
new Sunny Studio Stamps release with lots of Pirates,
Mermaids and Sea animals! Today I wanted to share a set
of 3 cards I made inspired on a card I made for my sweet
daughter Leah and of course I needed to make one for my
boy Ian too.... if not I get in trouble!!!

All this cards are 7.5 x 4.25 inches.
For the first card I used the Pirate Pals stamp set with the word
AHOY that I cut with my Silhouette Cameo, my idea was to
create a little scene inside the "O", for the background I did
some dark blue stripes... I added the sentiment
"You Are a Treasure". (This was for my boy)

For my next card I used the Magical Mermaids and I wanted to
create the feel of  the mermaids peeking on the Ship windows...
for more details on this card you can visit the
where I show how to create the woodgrain background.

For my last card I wanted to create a night scene with the
Pirate Pals on the beach, I created the background with
Oxide inks in colors Faded Jeans and Broken China.

This set was so much fun to make!
I have to admit that I love this new Sunny Studio release!

Love Puffin

Hello Friends!! a couple of weeks ago I won a $50 prize
at the ClassRoom at Ellen Hutson blog and with
that prize I bought this cutie!!! it is a small set from Avery Elle

My card today is for the Challenge #5
For a Female/Mum at Always Fun Challenges

To tell you the truth I did not know what this animal
was... so of course I googled it... and they are the
cutest little animals ( I totally thought they were not
real)   hahaha

I used Distress Oxide inks for the background in colors
Peeled Paint and Broken China, and to tell you the truth
I am anxiously awaiting for more oxide ink colors,
they blend so well I just looooove them!

For the rest of the scene I added some little elements from
the set! The tree trunk is a die you can find at the
Craftin Desert Divas Shop it is called "Scene Builder Dies"

I added clear embossing powder to the puffins and the
tree trunk and they look awesome, if you want to get a
more realistic look!

I love this little set! totally worth it!
