Pop up card Tutorial/CDD Yeti Fun

Hello Friends Waleska here, to share one of my favorite interactive cards to make, well I love all interactive cards, I loove to see the face of someone that receives an interactive card... they always ask how did you do that? and the surprise face is just priceless.  I wanted also to share with you my excitement because today I am heading to the Amazing USA for my brother's wedding, I will be on some great craft stores for the first time ever and I hope to have a blast!!! We International crafters get very excited when traveling because in most of our countries is so hard to find crafting stores!! Ok now to my card I hope you like it!!!

CARD DETAILS:

You start with a 20 x 9 cms. piece of cardstock, divide the piece in half and mark with your score board, mark 5.5 cms on both ends of either side, score a diagonal line connecting the markings set fold and set aside.
Cut another piece 26 x 9 cms and divide into 4 equal parts of 6.5 cms score and fold.

Cut a third piece which will be your card base 30 x 10 cms and decorate the inside and outside with pattern paper.  Also decorate the prior piece only on the front that will be your pop up piece.

Mark the center of your card base on the inside and glue the first piece you did, only the rectangle area marked with the pink points in the back and front.

Now here is the trick, to glue your pop up part.   Center the piece you folded in 4 to the part you glue in the prior image and glue only the parts I marked on the photos below, (nothing else) that is what makes the card fold and pop up when you open and close

Finally add your images to the pop up part, I added the amazing Yeti Fun stamp to have a cute surprise, I also added the die cut word wishing in the outside of the card and the word happiness on the inside!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you liked this idea, there are many ways to make pop up cards, but as I mentioned before all are awesome to give someone a nice surprise.

Have a wonderful day!

Sentiment Background Stripe

Hello Friends Waleska here with a very easy to mass produce sentiment background card.  The Holidays are fast approaching and if you need to make a lot of cards and have little time... This card design is for you!! I used the beautiful Sending Sentiments stamp set to create a focal point on my card.  This set has lots of words for you to choose so you can use this design to create cards for many occasions.

CARD DETAILS:

I used an aqua card base, with post it tape I masked a stripe where I wanted my sentiment background to be.  I stamped the Christmas word with versamark ink and white embossing powder.  After that I masked the sentiment area and sponge it with peacock feathers oxide ink, I added some water splashes mixed with gold watercolor to add interest to the background.  I used glitter washi to separate the sentiment area to the rest of the card.  finally I adhere gold sequins as embellishments.

Thank you so much for stopping by, throughout the week the CDD DT members will share with you more ways to make Sentiment Backgrounds.  I hope we can inspire you to use more your sentiments to make backgrounds with our different ideas and tips!

Have a nice day!
