New Brutus Monroe and Deco Foil Collaboration!!!!

Hello Friends Welcome back for another Wednesday Project...using Brutus Monroe stamps and products, every Wednesday you can find a blog hop at the Brutus Monroe blog featuring a product or technique of the week!,  This week is very exciting because of the new Brutus Monroe and Decofoil line of foils.  This new foils are very unique and there are many ways to use them.  Today I want to use the new foils and some toner sheets to foil die cut images... This technique is very easy and the results look amazing.

CARD #1

To create this card I used Brush Strokes Toner sheets and Tidepool Foil.  I first foiled the card front and then, I ink blend the up and down part.  I know they are brush strockes but they also look like raindrops, so that was exactly my inspiration.  I die cut from a toner sheet two big clouds and then foil them with the same foil.  The sentiment and card base are on black for a more interesting look.

CARD #2

To create this card I did the same as the first card,  I first die cut the images and them I foil them. For this card I used Drybrush foil to give texure to the trees and I ink blend the back so it can look like a forest night.  For this trees I did not use toner sheets to transfer the foil, What I did was I apply Embossing ink and Iclicle embossing powder to the die cut trees and when the heat gets in contact with the melted embossing powdeder it helps foil to stick beautifully.

Aren´t all this products from the new collection amazing???? Hop along with us at the Brutuss Monroe blog and don´t miss the Design Team projects usign some of this new products this week!!! Be inspired by this talented ladies:

Die Cutting Technique

Hello Friends Welcome back for another Wednesday Project...using Brutus Monroe stamps and products, every Wednesday you can find a blog hop at the Brutus Monroe blog featuring a product or technique of the week!   The Design Team works very hard to share great inspiration with you!! You can find the hop HERE.   This week we are sharing Die Cutting Techniques.   Today I will be focusing on a very fun fold card design.

CARD DETAILS:

Coordinating Dies and stamps can be used in many different ways, for today's card I created a window trifold card.  I started by cutting two A2 cards and glue them together.  I then ink blend the three panels, I used the coordinating die of this set to cut a window on the front and second panel, I used the first cut panel to cut the second flap by putting the die inside the first panel to fit like a puzzle into the other card so they can be in the exact same spot on the card.

I then emboss the City Sidewalks Orlando with Metallic Embossing Powder Sterling, and adhere the globe to the last card panel.

This is the front of the card, I added some little star sequins for more bling and I also added a sentiment banner with the words Sending love.

The second panel is exactly like the first one I change the color and the sentiment banner to say "From"....

And for the last panel I adhere the Snow globe with foam dots to the last panel.

Color Challenge!!!

Hello Friends Welcome back for another Wednesday Project...using Brutus Monroe stamps and products, every Wednesday you can find a blog hop at the Brutus Monroe blog featuring a product or technique of the week!, the Design Team works very hard to share great inspiration with you!! You can find the hop HERE.   This week we are having a color challenge.  I was very inspired by this combo and I really loved this combination of colors.

CARD DETAILS:

To create this card I started by planning my background... I wanted to create a rainy background, to do that I used Oz Surface ink, to make this rainy day I simply swipe the ink cube across the card, leaving white spots in some areas that I filled with the raindrops stamp on this set.

Here is a closer look to the background, I used Oz Surface ink to stamp the raindrops.

After I finished the background I colored this funky cat inspired on the colors from the challenge.  To create more interest on my card I die cut three clounds in different sizes and adhere them to go along with the sentiment.  To finish this card I glue small gray raindrops and stamped the sentiment.

Join us on this fun color challenge using the hashtag #brutusmonroecolorchallenge and share your creations on social media, we love to see what you create....

Envelope Art!

Hello Friends Welcome back for another Wednesday Project...using Brutus Monroe stamps and products, every Wednesday you can find a blog hop at the Brutus Monroe blog featuring a product or technique of the week!   The Design Team works very hard to share great inspiration for you!! You can find the hop HERE.   This week we are sharing some "Envelope Art"inspiration.  For today´s project I used Raven Embossing powder and Brutus Monroe Cabbage cardstock to create this envelope.

CARD DETAILS:

I started making the envelope with an Envelope Punch Board, I used Brutus Monroe Cabbage cardstock to create this envelope.  With the envelope open, I started stamping in the corners the beautiful Flourishes that come in the Create a Cameo set with Brutus Monroe Embossing ink.  I wanted an elegant look to this envelope so I used Raven Embossing Ink for all the stamping.

I then stamped the girl cameo, leaving space to stamp the address on the envelope.  I splatter gold watercolor to the front of the stamped piece for more interest to this design.  I stamped the name and address and again I used Raven Embossing ink to unify the design.

I love he raised look of the embossing powder on the envelope, you can use any embossing powder with this idea!!!

I hope you like this elegant idea to create Evelope Art with embossing powders. Remember also, There are lots of new products at the shop... go grab them before it is too late!!!!
