Sea You Soon! Good Bye to the Drive by Crafts Design Team...

Hello Friends Waleska here from craftinglovew with my last post on the Drive by Crafts Design Team.  Time definetely flies when you are having fun!!! I loved my time on this team and sharing with you my ideas!!! For my last card of course I wanted to create a scene with some of my favorite Lawn Fawn sets from all time, some old and some new!! This long card is very colorful and shows lots of different characters and must haves if you are like me and enjoy making cute cards.

CARD DETAILS:

I started with the card base which is a letter size sheet fold in half, I cut 2 inches so it can fit inside a long business envelope.  I cut different sizes of water waves and colored them with oxide inks in colors: Faded Jeans, Peacoack Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Salty Ocean.  For the little island I used Kraft Cardstock, I splashed all the waves with water for a realistic water look.

For the sky I used Squeezed Lemonade and Carved Pumpking Oxide Inks.  I planned my scene from top to bottom, my inspiration was an image I found of the ocean with lots and lots of little fishes.  I started stamping and coloring all the characters I wanted to use and placing them on the card without adhering them.  I build this big scene little by little and I tried to use kind of the same colors for a harmonic feel.

After I knew exactly where I wanted all my images I started adhering them to my card, with glue and some with 3D foam.  I used a white gel pen to draw attention to some parts of the images and some glitter glue for sparkle.  I finally stamped the sentiment with black ink.

I hope I inspire you to mix and match some of your stamp sets with this card!!!! I had the best time on the Drive by Crafts Team, I learned a lot and made some great friends!!! Take care and thank you so much for all your kindness during my time as a DT Member!!!

Keep on Crafting!!!

BE-YOU-TIFUL Mermaids/ Ellen Hutson Mix it Up Challenge

Hello Cardmakers out there! I want to share with you a BE-YOU-TIFUL Mermaid card for the Ellen Hutson Mix it Up Challenge with Lawn Fawn.

CARD DETAILS:

For this card I started with the background I used Oxide Inks in colors Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Faded Jeans, I have to say this colors are perfect for Ocean backgrounds.  I added Versamark ink and Ranger Holographic Embossing Powder to the hole background.

It looks very beautiful, after that I die cut the Ellen Hutson Be-You-Tiful word die six times to have a raised look, and color all the mermaids in the same color combination for the border I used the Gina Marie Designs Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I love the sparkling look of this card so I added more sparkle to the hair, top and tail with the Ranger Bullet embossing ink pen.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and can give this idea a try of making a very sparkling card! I think there is never to much sparkle in a card hahaha!

Lawn Fawn Ahoy, Matey/Cute Beach Girls

Hello.... Today's card was inspired by the June beautiful Butterfly Reflections Ink Mood Board...  I loove this cute girl pirates...  I am on a Beach mood lately and I had this and many more ideas to create summer cards... It is going to be an AWESOME summer!

CARD DETAILS: I started with the sand shaker cutting a hill from Desert Storm Cardstock and with a craft knife I cut 1cm. around the inside of the hill and glue acetate to the back of the hill to create the shaker window.

For the beach background I used Oxide Inks... they blend so effortlessly that I just can't put them away.. for the sunset Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade and for the ocean Faded Jeans with some water splashes.   I added the sand to the card base and add the sand cardstock piece with double sided tape to create the shaker (you have to press extra hard because the sand is more heavy than regular sequins). to glue it to the card.

I colored all the cute girl pirates matching the color combination of the mood board and die cut the great palm trees of the newest release... I glue my girls and add the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink.... knowing the Awesome girls I know you can make any girl happy with this one!

I hope you have a great weekend... Mine started today because my kids are home... I am rushing to write this because... you know... they were up at 6:00 a.m. today but on school days can hardly stand up at 7:00 a.m.... and right now they are calling me... MOM, MOM, MOM, MOM....

HUGS,

Chicks Graduation

Ohh how much fun was to create this funny
Chicks Graduation!
This is my entry for the Lawn Fawnatics
Challenge #3 OUTSTANDING OCCASIONS

I wanted to create a Graduation and since almost all
of the Lawn Fawn stamps coordinate I used one of
the chicks of  the Chirp Chirp Chirp stamp set
and the Graduation hat from the Smart Cookie set

For the Stage I used a Silhouette File called
DRAMA THEATER STAGE by Samantha Walker
Design #9369
and colored it with Distress Inks
(I had to resize the image to fit my card)

I hope you had a great weekend and can be inspired
by my funny card!  I am totally planning to save this
card to give it to my little brother for his Graduation!

Laundry Box

Hello Friends! I have to say making this Box Cards
is so much fun! With this card I am participating on the
current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #2 Interactive Cards

I made this little box thinking on my lovely Mom who
I know hand-washed most of our Family clothes when
we were little... (me and my brothers)

For this one I try to use matching marker
colors to coordinate with the Perfectly Plaid
Rainbow paper. This set is called:
Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Pop-up
and If you don't have it I think is a MUST!
It is a little expensive, but totally worth the investment.

I hope You like my little Tribute to all Moms!
Who truly demonstrate to be:
World´s Best Moms! for all they do for us!

Zombie Piggie

This starting week I want to share the next tag for my Halloween series
 "From Delightful to Frightful"
This next spookie piggie is the zombie one!

Let me show you how you can turn this cute piggie into this zombie piggie

I use the Hog Heaven stamp set from MFT, the little tombs from the Spooktacular Lawn Fawn Set
and a Spellbinder die called Graveyard Scenes
Let's see how to turn this cutie to that frightful zombie

The first thing I did was the eye... I did a bigger eye and put some scars on the face,
and with a fine pen draw his torn shirt.
After that I used two different shades of green:
with the lighter green color the hole piggie and put some little points
in different sizes to make the skin zombie looking

For the background I use Distress Inks in colors Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed

And here It is the Piggie Zombie ready to go hunting for some bloooood!!

Hope you like it, have a wonderful day thanks for visiting my blog!
If you think someone you know will like this tutorial please share!

Scared Doggie

Hello my Crafty Friends and everyone that visits my blog and will be my friend!!!
This weeks are realy complicated for me because my son is having his finals and WE have sooo much to study.... He is 8 years old.... Oh well there is also so much happening this amazing month it is my hubby's Birthday and HALLOWEEN is coming soon!!!  But I am trying among all the chaos to keep myself sane doing some crafting and of course halloween cards!!!
Go visit my instagram where I will be sharing everyday a new halloween card
https://www.instagram.com/craftinglovew/

This one is my entry for the current Lawnscaping Challenge It is basically inspired on a Autumn pinterest board with a lot of leafs, oranges and browns and I came up with this funny card!!

Poor doggie... look at his face he is so scared while the ghosts are having so much fun!!!

I use the following Lawn Fawn Stamps:

The Ghosts and Moon of the Spooktacular set
The doggie from Critters at the Dog Park
The branches and leaves from Jump for Joy
The Ghosts faces are from Rooting for you

Distress Inks:

Carved Pumpkin
Spiced Marmalade
Walnut Stain

The original doggie is so happy... let me show you how I change it:

You can always mask only the part where you don't want the ink to be or do like I do I use my Lawn Fawn shammy to take of the part where I don't want the ink to be and with a black pen (a fine one)
I draw the new face...

Tad Ahhh from happy to scared!!

I hope you find this helpful... this was my inspiration for the challenge

Have a wonderful week and as always if you need it...stay crafty to stay sane... like me!!
