For my project today I try to make something different than a card.... how about making your own embellishments for your home decorations for halloween???

PROJECT DETAILS:

This home decorations are very simple...you can make them very quick!!! all you have to do is take out one of your favorite embossing powders and start embossing!!!!
To create the Wreath and halloween candy treat, I diecut some spooky pumpkins from last year´s inspiration box and did two layers of embossing powder for a smoother look... I used Pink Champagne and Raven embossing powders for my projects today...

The embossed die cuts become very sturdy with the double layer of embossing powder.  I also die cut some spider webs with glitter cardstock and adhere them with a glue gun to an old wreath I had from last year.... every year you can change your embellishments...

Here is a closer look to the embossed die cuts....

You can make garlands... and all kinds of spooky decorations for halloween!!! What do you think??? Use your cardmaking supplies to create some home decor.....Hop along with us and check out the ideas of the other design team members:

Adding White Embossing details to Watercolor

Hello my Craftin Desert Divas Friends, Waleska from craftinglovew here with a little tip to add snow elements to your watercolor cards! After this card, I think I am going to use more my Zig Clean Color markers... Do you have materials in your desk you've been wanting to use for a long time?  Well that happen to me and the Zigs, so is a good resolution for this 2018 to start using all those materias, don't you think? I had so much fun creating this card with this adorable images!!! Let me share with you my little tip:

CARD DETAILS:

I started creating my background piece with a watercolor card base, I added snow dots with a Ranger Embossing Marker and added white embossing powder.  Since the embossing powder resist the watercolor it works great to create a snow background.

After that I created some snow covered trees.  I put some embossing ink on the corners of the trees and added the white embossing powder snow details, and put the green color with the Zig Clean Color markers.  I color the bear and cute penguin with the same markers.

I finally added white embossing powder to the bottom part of the card to simulate ice and stamp the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

White embossing powder looks bright even with the different watercolors on top.  I hope you can give this idea a try!

Have a wonderful Day!

Be-You-tiful

Hello, there... It is time for another Pin-Sight Challenge at the ClassRoom blog, the beautiful inspiration for my card has lots of pinks and oranges...I did a very cool technique with Oxide Inks and vellum... Want to know how? let me share it with you.....

CARD DETAILS

I started with the vellum piece, I first put a little of  Spiced Marmalade in my Ranger Mat and I added a little bit of water... I wanted the ink to be thick, and smooshed the vellum into the oxide ink ( I did not add more water to the piece) I only added the oxide ink and dry it with a heat gun, I did the same thing with the Worn Lipstick ink in the parts I thought it needed.   When I finally got the look I wanted I flip the vellum piece and use the back of it for my card.

                              Vellum Front                           Vellum Back

I stamped with Embossing ink the Mondo Hydrangeas in the right corner of the vellum and added gold embossing powder I also added the same gold embossing powder to the Be-You-tiful Ellen Hutson Die to match the flowers. To frame everything I used the Postage die from Avery Elle in white cardstock. The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh the Clear Mix.

I love the effect on the vellum, it kind of looks like Marble, the Oxide inks look Awesome on vellum, but remember you have to use the back of your piece!

Hugs,

The first thing I did was draw the little fags with a realy fine pen
then I colored the piggie with different shades of grey and finally I draw some little details on his head a little black pants and a bow with my black marker

For the background I use Distress Inks in colors Seedless Preserves and Wilted Violet

MFT Frightful Friends card

Hello, there... I want to share how I did this spooky card with you...

First I cut from my new MFT Die-namics Double Stitched Stax a watercolor paper

For this card I use the Smooshing Technique, with some Distress ink in candid apple and some water. To do this technique you need to use a transparency and smooshed it in the distress ink

Like this...

And after that you smooshed the transparency sheet with the distress ink right into the paper... this is a great effect to create a more artistic look sometimes but in this card I wanted to look like blood!!!

Then I start stamping with my memento ink because I was going to use some markers for the coloring, I want to say this MFT Frightful Friends stamp set is one of my all time favorites.

I did some basic coloring... and I put some Embossing Powder to the dracula wings to give it a little bit of sparkle

I had this Spellbinders Graveyard Scenes Die for so long, I can even remember... I use just part of this die cut.

After that I started to assemble all the card!!

And BOO!!!! This card is done... I love the bloody look....
For the materials they are highlight in red if you have any questions feel free to ask!
