Birthday Bus to a Beach Party!

Hi Everyone, today I have a fun and colorful birthday scene card with the adorable Birthday Bus critters from Avery Elle.  I've wanted to create a card with this fun little set for a long time, I am so happy I could finally use it... I love this little stamp sets from different companies because the prize is great and you can pair them with lots of other sets you already own.  You can find this and other small stamp sets at the shop.

CARD DETAILS:

My creating process starts with a color combo I want to use for the entire card, I almost always try to use only the colors I choose, three or four colors I find work great for a design.  I color the cute birthday bus with markers in the colors I already choose to start and work from that.

I then started with the background, to color the background I used Mermaid Lagoon Oxide Ink with some water splashes.  I cut a strip of black cardstock for the road and with a wave die I cut from kraft cardstock the sand, I wanted this party to be at the beach.

I adhere everything to the front of the card and frame the scene with a rectangle frame die I colored in the same hot pink color I used on the bus...to complete the beach look I needed a palm tree, this palm tree is part of the MFT Beach Scene Builder Die-namic, (a must have die set, if you ask me), I colored it also with markers.

I finally stamped the sentiment with black ink and added some nuvo drops in the same tones.  I hope you like this happy birthday beach card,  I wish you have a wonderful rest of the week...

You can find this and other awesome new products at the Drive by Crafts shop, and if you want to save some money don´t forget to use the code:

Have a great day!!!

Be-You-tiful

Hello, there... It is time for another Pin-Sight Challenge at the ClassRoom blog, the beautiful inspiration for my card has lots of pinks and oranges...I did a very cool technique with Oxide Inks and vellum... Want to know how? let me share it with you.....

CARD DETAILS

I started with the vellum piece, I first put a little of  Spiced Marmalade in my Ranger Mat and I added a little bit of water... I wanted the ink to be thick, and smooshed the vellum into the oxide ink ( I did not add more water to the piece) I only added the oxide ink and dry it with a heat gun, I did the same thing with the Worn Lipstick ink in the parts I thought it needed.   When I finally got the look I wanted I flip the vellum piece and use the back of it for my card.

                              Vellum Front                           Vellum Back

I stamped with Embossing ink the Mondo Hydrangeas in the right corner of the vellum and added gold embossing powder I also added the same gold embossing powder to the Be-You-tiful Ellen Hutson Die to match the flowers. To frame everything I used the Postage die from Avery Elle in white cardstock. The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh the Clear Mix.

I love the effect on the vellum, it kind of looks like Marble, the Oxide inks look Awesome on vellum, but remember you have to use the back of your piece!

Love Puffin

Hello Friends!! a couple of weeks ago I won a $50 prize
at the ClassRoom at Ellen Hutson blog and with
that prize I bought this cutie!!! it is a small set from Avery Elle

My card today is for the Challenge #5
For a Female/Mum at Always Fun Challenges

To tell you the truth I did not know what this animal
was... so of course I googled it... and they are the
cutest little animals ( I totally thought they were not
real)   hahaha

I used Distress Oxide inks for the background in colors
Peeled Paint and Broken China, and to tell you the truth
I am anxiously awaiting for more oxide ink colors,
they blend so well I just looooove them!

For the rest of the scene I added some little elements from
the set! The tree trunk is a die you can find at the
Craftin Desert Divas Shop it is called "Scene Builder Dies"

I added clear embossing powder to the puffins and the
tree trunk and they look awesome, if you want to get a
more realistic look!

I love this little set! totally worth it!

Hugs
