Christmas Ornaments/Scrappy Tail Crafts

Hello Friends! Waleska from craftinglovew sharing more ideas for your Christmas cards.  For my card today I used some non-traditional colors for a Christmas card.  I hope you like it.

CARD DETAILS:

I started cutting the Pine Needle and Holly Leave Cover plate from white cardstock, I used Salvaged Patina to add some color to the frame, I also inked a back piece with the same color of ink.  I then cut two of the ornaments that come in that set and colored them in pink and purple, I added the top part of the ornament with a gold cardstock and added some stars from the same color.

I finally used some gold thread to the ornaments to look like if they were hanging and also added some gold splashes.  I assembled the card and added the sentiment from the Christmas Icons Stamp set.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope I inspired you to create with this beautiful Christmas stamps and dies.

Fall Assorted Leaves Scrappy Tail Crafts

Hello Friends!! It is starting to feel like fall and today I have a very easy and quick to recreate  card to celebrate the coming season with the beautiful Fall Assorted Leaves dies.

CARD DETAILS:

This card is al about layers, I started by choosing the colors I wanted to use for the leaves, I decided on this beautiful burgundy color and some gold.  I die cut the leaves and the details and assemble the leaves.  I then cut the different layers for the front panel with the same colors I used for the leaves.

I love the center details and this gold looks beautiful combined with many different colors,  I then cut a small strip of the same color cardstock and heat embossed the word Thank you from the Fairy Sentiments stamp set.  I started adhering everything and finally I added some gold jewels.

And just like that you can recreate this design with many different colors and different sentiments.  Thank you so much for spending this time reading this post, I hope you are inspired to create some fall cards!

Cake Stamp Set with Embossing Powder Accents

Hello Friends thank you for visiting my blog, for another Quick Tip Wednesday, today I have a fun Birthday Card with the new Brutus Monroe Topsy Cakes Stamp Set".  In the Brutus Monroe Blog there is hop where you can find lots of inspiration on how to use this set please visit the other Design Team members blogs for more ideas HERE.

QUICK TIP:

My Quick Tip today is to put embossed accents to your stamped images to accentuate some parts and give a different look and shine to your card.  This set is full of funky looking cakes with lots of layers... I loove chocolate cake so (of course) I colored this cake with different tones of brown, I used Metallic Embossing Powder Gilded to give shine to some layers of the cake.

I used different tones of green ink and I give the center on the card a lighter green color to accentuate the chocolate cake, I punch circles in different sizes with gold cardstock and glue the front panel to kraft cardstock and gold cardstock.

The new Brutus Monroe Embossing Powders are perfect for this quick tip, their beautiful and very shiny colors come in this two new collections: Spring and Summer, you can find them at the shop HERE.

Now is your turn, use embossing powders to give shine to your stamped images and give your cards some glow!!  Remember also to join us at the Brutus Monroe Fan Club to know the latest news from Christopher and lots of inspiration from the Design Team HERE.

Have a nice day,

Sentiment Background Stripe

Hello Friends Waleska here with a very easy to mass produce sentiment background card.  The Holidays are fast approaching and if you need to make a lot of cards and have little time... This card design is for you!! I used the beautiful Sending Sentiments stamp set to create a focal point on my card.  This set has lots of words for you to choose so you can use this design to create cards for many occasions.

CARD DETAILS:

I used an aqua card base, with post it tape I masked a stripe where I wanted my sentiment background to be.  I stamped the Christmas word with versamark ink and white embossing powder.  After that I masked the sentiment area and sponge it with peacock feathers oxide ink, I added some water splashes mixed with gold watercolor to add interest to the background.  I used glitter washi to separate the sentiment area to the rest of the card.  finally I adhere gold sequins as embellishments.

Thank you so much for stopping by, throughout the week the CDD DT members will share with you more ways to make Sentiment Backgrounds.  I hope we can inspire you to use more your sentiments to make backgrounds with our different ideas and tips!

Have a nice day!

Die Cut Inserts/CDD Poinsettias

Hello Friends, Waleska from craftinglovew here to share with you a very easy way to use your dies to create backgrounds! For my card today I used the flowers that come with the Inside Scalloped Circle Dies, they have a great size, you will find 2 flowers a large and a small.  They are very versatile and you can use this design also for spring cards.

CARD DETAILS:

I started with a kraft cardstock card base that I die cut with the two flowers alternatinating the two sizes, with a pencil I marked on a white piece the edges of all the flowers to know where I needed to add color.  On the white piece I added color with Distress Ink Candid Apple and splash a little water mixed with gold watercolor.  I adhere the colored piece to the back of the flower die cut kraft cardstock for a colorful background.

To finish my card I gold embossed the edges of my card base and added gold sequins to the center of my poinsettias.  I also added the word Christmas to with gold embossing powder to finish the Christmas look.

I hope you like my card and can give this idea a try, have a wonderful day friends!

Be-You-tiful

Hello, there... It is time for another Pin-Sight Challenge at the ClassRoom blog, the beautiful inspiration for my card has lots of pinks and oranges...I did a very cool technique with Oxide Inks and vellum... Want to know how? let me share it with you.....

CARD DETAILS

I started with the vellum piece, I first put a little of  Spiced Marmalade in my Ranger Mat and I added a little bit of water... I wanted the ink to be thick, and smooshed the vellum into the oxide ink ( I did not add more water to the piece) I only added the oxide ink and dry it with a heat gun, I did the same thing with the Worn Lipstick ink in the parts I thought it needed.   When I finally got the look I wanted I flip the vellum piece and use the back of it for my card.

                              Vellum Front                           Vellum Back

I stamped with Embossing ink the Mondo Hydrangeas in the right corner of the vellum and added gold embossing powder I also added the same gold embossing powder to the Be-You-tiful Ellen Hutson Die to match the flowers. To frame everything I used the Postage die from Avery Elle in white cardstock. The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh the Clear Mix.

I love the effect on the vellum, it kind of looks like Marble, the Oxide inks look Awesome on vellum, but remember you have to use the back of your piece!

Hugs,

Waleska
