Pool Party Unicorn

Hello CDD Fans, Waleska here to share with you on Day 4 of our June Release the new Stamp Set "100% Magical"... This set is truly magical with lots of summer Unicorns having fun in the Sun, I know you will love this  new set.  I created this adorable unicorn having fun on a pool maybe in her backyard or on a friend's house... let me share with you now I create this fun card.

CARD DETAILS:

To make this card, I created my own glitter paper by putting Double Sided adhesive tape  (you can find this at the CDD Shop in various sizes) on a white card base and then adding the colored glitter I wanted.  I loove the look of glitter shiny water don´t you?

This adhesive works great and the glitter stays very well.  I then cut this piece with a wave die from the Ocean Border Dies to create the pool water, with a strip of gray cardstock I created the pool border.

I also wanted to create a wood fence, to do that I cut a strip of kraft cardstock, with a scoring board I score every 1/2 inch to create the wood logs after that I used distress inks in a swiping motion in the bottom and on top with colors Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo.  You should totally try this technique the wood looks awesome.

For the Sun I used the Bright Horizons Stencil with two Oxide inks colors Squeezed Lemonade and  Fossilized Amber.  I adhere every piece to the front part of the card, with an exacto knife I cut a little line in the glitter water to put the unicorn floating.  I finally stamped the sentiment in the right up corner of the card.

I hope you like this card as much as I do and can be as excited as we are for this new Release!!!  Be ready to get your new stamps and dies from this release on June 15th at 3pm.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Birthday Bus to a Beach Party!

Hi Everyone, today I have a fun and colorful birthday scene card with the adorable Birthday Bus critters from Avery Elle.  I've wanted to create a card with this fun little set for a long time, I am so happy I could finally use it... I love this little stamp sets from different companies because the prize is great and you can pair them with lots of other sets you already own.  You can find this and other small stamp sets at the shop.

CARD DETAILS:

My creating process starts with a color combo I want to use for the entire card, I almost always try to use only the colors I choose, three or four colors I find work great for a design.  I color the cute birthday bus with markers in the colors I already choose to start and work from that.

I then started with the background, to color the background I used Mermaid Lagoon Oxide Ink with some water splashes.  I cut a strip of black cardstock for the road and with a wave die I cut from kraft cardstock the sand, I wanted this party to be at the beach.

I adhere everything to the front of the card and frame the scene with a rectangle frame die I colored in the same hot pink color I used on the bus...to complete the beach look I needed a palm tree, this palm tree is part of the MFT Beach Scene Builder Die-namic, (a must have die set, if you ask me), I colored it also with markers.

I finally stamped the sentiment with black ink and added some nuvo drops in the same tones.  I hope you like this happy birthday beach card,  I wish you have a wonderful rest of the week...

You can find this and other awesome new products at the Drive by Crafts shop, and if you want to save some money don´t forget to use the code:

Have a great day!!!

Special Delivery Throwback Stamp Set

Hello CDD Fans, it´s Waleska with a fun card using a throwback stamp set, this card was one of the first card designs I did for CDD, but back then I didn't share how I created the mailing background so I thought I would share with you how I did it... This set is one of my favorites from older releases because... Hey who doesn't love happy mail?  This stamp set is called "Special Delivery" this set is full of cute mailing critters and great sentiments to make someone smile...

CARD DETAILS:

I started cutting 1/2 inch red and blue strips of cardstock, I glue the strips to my card base starting in the center and from that you can glue up or down the following strips alternating the two colors.
At the end you will end with a very colorful background, you can change the colors or even make a rainbow design with this background.  I die cut the biggest rectangle from the Fancy Frame Dies with white cardstock, I made masks of the bunch of letters from the set, and started building the pile of letters.  I first stamp three together, then two and finally one where the cute critter would be sitting.
I colored the letters with the same colors from the background and also the critter with markers.

I adhere the adorable critter sitting on the big pile of letters holding a special letter for someone special and stamped the sentiment with black ink.

This card is super fun and amazing looking, it is very dear to me, because as I mention before it was one of the first card designs I did for CDD, I hope you like it and give this idea a try...

Have a wonderful day!

March Sneak Peek Day 4

Hello Crafty Friends, Waleska here with you today to showcase the new stamp set "Friendship" from our April Release.  The entire release will be available tomorrow in the shop!!! So don't forget to start making you wishlist!!!

CARD DETAILS:

For my card today I started die cutting the beautiful Flower Border Die, I masked the flowers and ink blend the little hill with Cracked Pistachio Oxide Ink starting on the bottom and leaving some white parts at the top for a faded look, I also added water splashes.  I colored the flowers with markers as well as the center of the flowers.  With this card I tried to use a three color palette for a harmonic look.

I ink blend the card base with Peacock Feathers starting again from the bottom  and leaving a white space at top and  added water splashes.  I colored the cute critter relaxing with markers in the same colors I already used, and added the sentiment with the banner that comes on the Fancy Frame dies.

I hope you are as excited as we are with this amazing Release!!! Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful day!!! and HAPPY SHOPPING!!!

I Love you S´more

Hello Friends Waleska here sharing with you my participation in the Lawn Fanatics Challenge Inky Fingers!! Who else is super excited for the new Lawn Fawn Release coming this February 22nd?  I am so excited and as always wanting to buy the entire Release!!! I definitely need to start finding a job if I want to keep buying stamps, dies and crafty supplies, thanks God I don´t live in the States because I will probably leave my husband without money!!! hahaha.  For this challenge I got really inky and I created a heavy distress ink background for a very cute couple that I include in my Cute Couples Card Series for this coming Valentine Day!! I am sharing a cute couple card each day on my Instagram until february 14 Celebrating Love and Cute stamps!!! Now here is my card for the Challenge:

CARD DETAILS:

For this cute card I used the new Sweet Friends Stamp Set from Lawn Fawn.  For my card base I used the Gina Marie Designs Starry Sky Background Plate Die which is amazing to create night scene cards, totally recommend to check her products... They are amazing and the prizes too. I ink blend the whole piece with Faded Jeans Oxide Ink and Black Soot only on the edges, to create the fire I used Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade and I applied it in a circular motion to give the feel of fire.  To create the branches for the smores I used the Leafy Tree Backdrop, and cut a little branch from it.  For the stars background I used the same colors from the fire to unify the design, I color the cute couple and added glossy accents to the marshmallow part of them.  Finally added some sequins, a heart and the fun sentiment.

Thanks for visiting my blog and I invite you to join me on instagram for more cute couples cards!! I share one card daily... I love getting to know more crafty friends through there here:
