Sunny Studio Stamps/Perfect Popsicles/Cool Dad

Hello Friends it is Monday again and that means it is time for another Challenge at the Always Fun Challenges Blog, this week's challenge is "For Male/Father".  I have to say many agree with me that masculine cards are very hard to do; there is not too many male colors to use and you can not embellish the card too much... but I came up with this cool card I hope you like.

CARD DETAILS: I used the Perfect Popsicles from Sunny Studio Stamps and stamped them in different green ink colors to make it a lemon flavor,  I love to mix Lawn Fawn stamps with Sunny Studio because both have Amazing stamp sets and they look great together.  I stamped the cool sun glasses from the new Aloha mini stamp set and the mustache from Dad + Me to create a very cool  Dad popsicle, for the sentiment I used the great Well Connected Alphabet from My Favorite Things (a must have, in my opinion) to personalize the word DAD and finally stamped the sentiment that comes with the Sunny Studio Stamp set! To finish my card I used Nuvo Drops as embellishments in color Apple Green (by the way I need every color there is of this Nuvo Drops) they are almost always the best embellishment! For the card base I used the Avery Elle Postage Die.

I hope you have an Amazing week and you can celebrate the great Man in you life... in my case is my sweet hubby who supports me and is my biggest sponsor for this hobby that makes me so happy!
Remember to enter your projects in the Always Fun Challenges blog.... and have Fun with us!

Graduation Congrats/Oxide Inks with Desert Storm Cardstock/Oxide Inks

Hello Friends and Welcome to another inspiration card for the Always Fun Challenge blog!!! The theme for this week is "Graduation"and I went for a non traditional Graduation card with a Congrats sentiment.

CARD DETAILS: For the card today I used Nina Desert Storm Cardstock and a stencil I made with my Silhouette Cameo.  Since I have been obsessed with Oxide Inks I use them for a very colorful card in colors Broken China, Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick for the sentiment I did an inlay technique I learned with the always Fabulous Laura Bassen... I stack 5 congrats dies to create the dimension and added clear sequins.

I hope you can join us on the Always Fun Challenges blog... there you can find inspiration every Monday for the different Challenges and have fun with us!

Hooray.. You Did It!/Graduation Card

Hello Friends and Welcome to another inspiration card for the Always Fun Challenge blog!!! The theme for this week is "Graduation"and I went for a male graduation card with a very fun Sentiment.

CARD DETAILS:

I noticed that since I tried Oxide Inks they are my go to inks for blending, because they blend so effortless, beautifully and the effects they make.   I blended Oxide ink colors Fossilized Amber, Cracked Pistachio and Faded Jeans and add some flicks of water with my distress sprayer. I die cut my blended piece with one of my new Gina Marie dies which I love.  The cute bear is from the Page Huggers from Mama Elephant,  this set has so many accesories, you can use this cute critters for many occasions, this kind of  sets are a MUST have because there are many uses for them!

Hello Friends this week at the Always Fun Challenges

I created this card with a technique I learned from the
Awesome Jennifer Mcguire Link to her video
"Dry embossing with Die Cuts"

I used a very old Spellbinder Die cut for the technique
and added a little color with blue sparkle washi tape and
a stripe of green cardstock
The stamp sets are from My Favorite Things:
Penguins in Paradise
Label Maker Sentiments.

Love Puffin

Hello Friends!! a couple of weeks ago I won a $50 prize
at the ClassRoom at Ellen Hutson blog and with
that prize I bought this cutie!!! it is a small set from Avery Elle

My card today is for the Challenge #5
For a Female/Mum at Always Fun Challenges

To tell you the truth I did not know what this animal
was... so of course I googled it... and they are the
cutest little animals ( I totally thought they were not
real)   hahaha

I used Distress Oxide inks for the background in colors
Peeled Paint and Broken China, and to tell you the truth
I am anxiously awaiting for more oxide ink colors,
they blend so well I just looooove them!

For the rest of the scene I added some little elements from
the set! The tree trunk is a die you can find at the
Craftin Desert Divas Shop it is called "Scene Builder Dies"

I added clear embossing powder to the puffins and the
tree trunk and they look awesome, if you want to get a
more realistic look!

I love this little set! totally worth it!

What is a CAS card?

Hi Card Makers... For this week's challenge on the

The theme is CAS

And as dumb as it can sound I did not know
what does CAS mean... I hear it before and kind
of have an idea of it, but did not know exactly
the meaning of creating a CAS card, so here is
what I learned:

What is CAS?
CAS stands for Clean and Simple

*Your card has to have a design concept
and not so much embellishments.
*Your card needs to be uncluttered
*Your card needs to have lots of
white space or open space
*Your card needs to have a focal point

But everyone can understand CAS
in different ways, everyone have their
own design style, so I guess the Card Police
is not going to arrest you if you make your
own style of CAS... hahaha

Hope this can help instead of confuse you!
For my card I made a rainbow, but I don't have
a Rainbow die so I created one with a hill die
from the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders

This is a little trick I learned from the Amazing
Jennifer McGuire (video link)

I cut lots of this borders from different colors
and then glue them together to make the
Rainbow... They fit perfect so it is very easy
to make perfect Rainbows.

I hope you can play along with us at the
Always Fun Challenges
there is a new challenge every Monday!

Pastel Unicorns

Welcome to my blog....
with this card I am starting a
new adventure that I just know will be so much
fun and will give me the opportunity to meet
more amazing people.

This card is my first one on the New Blog

where I am part of their Design Team
I invite you to participate and have FUN!!!

The Challenge #1
Anything Goes

For my card Today I used the new and Amazing
Oxide Inks
I currently own 8 colors but my favorites would be:

1. Cracked Pistachio
2.Worn Lipstick
3. Broken China
4. Faded Jeans

The first thing I did was sponging the Worn Lipstick
Oxide ink directly to my paper and next I flick
Cracked Pistachio and Wilted Violet mixed with water
to my pink piece and because of the water I added
to those two colors they made very vibrant
flicks.

I play a lot with my distress oxides and the end result
I LOVE THEM!
They totally have a new look from other inks.

Hope you can be inspired and start experimenting
with your Oxides if you just don't know if they are
for you I suggest buying two or three, try them
out and then if you like them buy the rest.

Have a wonderful day,

Waleska
