Christmas Pattern Paper/Sunny Studio Stamps

Hello Friends!

Welcome back to the Sunny Studio Blog for more holiday card inspiration.  My card today features the beautiful Joyful Holiday Christmas 6 x 6 paper pad along with a bunch of cute penguins from the Penguin Party Stamp set.

CARD DETAILS:

When I used pattern paper on a card I like to first decide the patterns I will use, and based on those I choose the colors I will use for the rest of my card.  I wanted to create a card full of penguins enjoying the Christmas winter weather.  I stamped almost all of the penguins from the set and colored them trying to match the colors of the pattern paper, I then fussy cut them and started planning my scene.  I cut a dome in the center of the front panel and adhered the snowflake paper as the background for the scene and added a snowbank for the penguins.  I stalked the penguins to the left of the scene and added a last penguin carrying all the presents I finally stamped the sentiment form the Jolly Gingerbread stamps and finally added some iridescent snowflakes.

How much fun they are having? a lot I think... Remember to use your pattern paper more often I need to remember that more often! Thank you so much for stopping by have a great weekend!

Colorful Wreath/ Sunny Studio Stamps

 Hello there!

Today I have card inspiration for you with two of my favorite elements, rainbow colors and inks! This colorful card is just so happy and bright I hope you like it!

CARD DETAILS:

For this card I started by creating the inky background I used some of my favorite Oxide Ink colors on Nina Solar White cardstock.  The colors I used are Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet.  I added water splashes to this panel to add interest and for some shine I added glitter watercolor too.  I then stamped the wreath from Winter Wreaths, I used the pine bough with white embossing powder and I inked it with the same colors I used for the background panel, I cut the wreath with the coordinating die and I adhere it to the center of my front panel.

I stamped the beautiful layered bow that comes in the stamp set trying to match the colors I previously used.  I used Spectrum Noir Inks in tones: Red: bordeaux, orange and Chinese red
Yellow: honey pot, lemon tonic and straw bale, Purple: damson wine, crushed velvet and pale fig, Aqua: Lagoon, parakeet and Oasis, I love the 3D look of this bow.  I cut some peppermint candies from the Gingerbread House dies and I started decorating the wreath with all this elements.  Finally I added a frame from the Fancy Frame Rectangle dies with white cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Jolly Gingerbread stamp set.  Super fun and colorful card,
thank you so much for stopping by, have a wonderful rest of your day!

I started cutting the Pine Needle and Holly Leave Cover plate from white cardstock, I used Salvaged Patina to add some color to the frame, I also inked a back piece with the same color of ink.  I then cut two of the ornaments that come in that set and colored them in pink and purple, I added the top part of the ornament with a gold cardstock and added some stars from the same color.

I finally used some gold thread to the ornaments to look like if they were hanging and also added some gold splashes.  I assembled the card and added the sentiment from the Christmas Icons Stamp set.

 Hello there!

I have a fun penguin card to share with you today using the Penguin Party Stamps.  For my card today I used a some of my favorite oxide ink colors.

To create this card I started with the background I inked a piece of white cardstock with oxide inks in colors Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo and Salvaged Patina, I then cut a snow hill from white cardstock.  I stamped and color the cute penguins (it was hard to choose from all the adorable penguins on this set).  I stamped some snowflakes with versamark ink and added white embossing powder, I cut and inked them with the same colors I used for the background and used foam tape to add them to the sky.  I added some iridescent stars and the sentiment fun and festive at the bottom of this panel.

I adhered this panel to a lilac frame and then a white cardbase, I love the fun faces of this penguins, they are definitely enjoying the cold weather.  Thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful rest of your day!

Hello Friends!

Today I am sharing a very festive card mixing the Holiday Greetings Stamps and the Sledding Critters Sleigh.  I love colorful Christmas cards for this card I wanted to have red as the focus color.

CARD DETAILS:

I first stamped and cut the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Stamps with red ink.  I then stamped the cute Sledding Critters Sleigh  I love this stamp set with all the different critters, I used copic markers to color them.
For the base of the card I inked a piece of white cardstock with Oxide Inks in colors Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon.  I wanted to add more interest and texture to this piece so I used the Moroccan Circles embossing folder.

I added this panel to a white and red bases and finally I mixed some white acrilic paint with water to create some snow!  I hope you have a wonderful day, thank you so much for stopping by!
