Loving Wishes/Scrappy Tail Crafts

Hello there! I hope your day is great, my card today is for someone you love, this romantic die is from the recent release J'adore.  I hope you like it.

CARD DETAILS:

To start my card I die cut the Umbrella Couple Layering Die I then, used copic markers to color the die cut, It is very easy to color and you also can die cut each piece from different colors of cardstock and adhere it to the base.  I create the background with Oxide Inks in colors Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire, I used a raindrop stencil and added lots of water splashes to create the rain.  I added a gray floor for the couple too.

I adhered the couple to this panel and added the sentiment from the Fairy Sentiments stamps.  I thought it was missing something so I also added some small hearts around the lovely couple.  Thank you for stopping by today, I hope this inspires you to create a card for someone you love!  Have a great day!

Cloudy Day

Hi CDD Friends, Waleska here.
Today I'd like to share a card using a few current
favorites from our latest April release.

Card Details:
I used the adorable "Stormy Weather" stamp set.
I have decided already this little guy is my favorite.
The idea of this card was to create a very cloudy day
and a little mouse flying on the sky with his little umbrella.

To create the cloudy background I diecut a bunch of
clouds from the new Rainbow die set and glue them
to my card, with Pumice Stone distress ink I create
the gray color sky.

I hand cut my little mouse and added Comet
sequins for a little color!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

What is a CAS card?

Hi Card Makers... For this week's challenge on the

The theme is CAS

And as dumb as it can sound I did not know
what does CAS mean... I hear it before and kind
of have an idea of it, but did not know exactly
the meaning of creating a CAS card, so here is
what I learned:

What is CAS?
CAS stands for Clean and Simple

*Your card has to have a design concept
and not so much embellishments.
*Your card needs to be uncluttered
*Your card needs to have lots of
white space or open space
*Your card needs to have a focal point

But everyone can understand CAS
in different ways, everyone have their
own design style, so I guess the Card Police
is not going to arrest you if you make your
own style of CAS... hahaha

Hope this can help instead of confuse you!
For my card I made a rainbow, but I don't have
a Rainbow die so I created one with a hill die
from the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders

This is a little trick I learned from the Amazing
Jennifer McGuire (video link)

I cut lots of this borders from different colors
and then glue them together to make the
Rainbow... They fit perfect so it is very easy
to make perfect Rainbows.

I hope you can play along with us at the
Always Fun Challenges
there is a new challenge every Monday!

Hugs

How to make a Water Shaker?

Hello my Sweet Friends and CDD Fans!
The April release is available at the shop
and this is my last card for this Release Event!

I am very proud of  Tara Bruening (CDD owner)
and her Amazing job every release!
I love to be part of a company with so many
unique stamps and dies!

For this card I created a Water Shaker!!!
Yes you can make Water Shakers.....
Let me show you how?

First you need to make your window
and as any other shaker you glue the
acetate to the back of the window.

Then you have to start working on your
water shaker, for mine I use a small bag
that you can seal on top, (like Ziploc bags.)   I filled
it with a little of water and add the color with
distress reinkers.

What I do next is, secure the bag with
lots of clear tape in the up part
I attached the bag on top of the window I die cut
all of this in the back part of course
(I tape only the top of the bag) to my card
it is also important that the window you
cut is smaller than the bag with water.
Clean your bag before you attach it to your
card base... (This is important)

I put double sided tape around the card
it is better if you double the tape for the
water to have room to move.
I attached this to my card base... and
Tadahhhhh you have your Water Shaker!

I hope you find this little tutorial of help,
if you want to create one of this fun interactive
cards!  Kids love them! I don't know about
the mailing (if it is safe to send it, because
I have never tried it) but I know you can
make someone happy giving one of this in
person to someone special.
So remember:

"When life gives you puddles,
jump in them.... and have fun!

Hugs,

Waleska

of rainwater

I die cut the some clouds with our new
Cloud die and give it a little color with a gray marker

I added some yellow sequins as waterdrops
