Oxide Inks Northern Lights

Hello Friends Waleska here, today I wanted to share a scene card I created specially for one of the seals on the Reverse Confetti Sealiously set, my idea was to create a northern lights night sky for a "Missing You" card for someone special.... let me share with how I got the look.

CARD DETAILS:

I started with a white card base, and googled some northern lights inspiration to know what colors I wanted to use.   I decided to use Oxide Inks in colors:  Cracked Pistachio, Wilted VioletSeedless Preserves,Worn Lipstick and Black Soot.   I started this background by applying the Oxide Ink colors randomly on the front panel, trying to blend some of them with the Ink Blending tool,  then I apply the Black Soot on the corners towards the center of the area I wanted my sky to be.  I also create some little water splashes for a dynamic look.

I set aside the sky and started working on the Icebergs, I  die cut five of the My Favorite things Icebergs Die-namics  and I apply Mermaid Lagoon Oxide ink to the bottom of each Iceberg to unify them with the iced water the cute seal will be on.

I cut a panel for the iced water and colored it with Mermaid Lagoon Oxide ink, and again splash some water on it.  I adhere the icebergs and water to the sky front panel, and glue the adorable seal I colored with copic markers.  I used one of the sentiments on the set and finally put some white dots to the sky as stars.

I hope you like my card today, and can give this Northern Lights sky idea a try....

Reverse Confetti Pattern Paper Card

Hello Friends!!! Waleska here with another card for the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog to share a very fun and graphic card with lots of pattern paper and paper piecing, inspired on the illustrator of this Reverse Confetti images Dawn Machell.

CARD DETAILS:

For this card my main inspiration was Dawn Machell illustrations, she uses lots of different patterns on her images, she combines bright colors and graphic patterns to create AWESOME illustrations.  I started by choosing the pattern paper I wanted to use, there are lots of  Pattern Papers for you to choose at the shop.  I find one that would look well combined together on my card.  I used the new Reverse Confetti Magical Day Stamp Set and the Unicorn Wishes Stamp Set.  I loove long cards, because they give me the chance to use more stamps and do bigger scene cards, this one measures 4.5 by 8 inches long.  I stamp the tree, unicorn and dragon on the pattern paper with Versafine Onyx Black Ink so the black outline of the images could be more black.

I combined different colors of the pattern paper for the images and hand cut some of the details so that all the images can be color balanced, like the hair, tail and unicorn horn from this cute unicorn.  I glue the details with Mono Multi Liquid Glue.  This little details make the images look different and so cool.  I die cut two hills with the lawn fawn simple stitched hillside border dies to create a magical forest.  To color the background I used Oxide Ink Fossilized Amber.

To finish it up I used some hearts to embellish the up part of my card and stamped the GREAT sentiment from the Unicorn Wishes Stamp Set.  I hope you like this card and give paper piecing a try!
Remember the good news!!! Butterfly Reflections Ink shop is now carrying Stamp Market Stamps and there is still time to shop some Hero Arts goodies with 25% off with the code HERO25 until Friday!!

Have a Magical Day!

Reverse Confetti/ Party Animal

Hello Friends! I am here with this fun and funky card with Reverse Confetti stamps! Over my time as a cardmaker I have found many companies I love... the most recent one I love is Reverse Confetti... I just love their cute and abstract critters! they are so much fun to create with!

I created this card for their current sketch challenge at their blog! I have the most recent stamps and now I want them all! for this card I used Oxide Inks for the background with a mix of normal dye inks I first smooshed the dye ink color to my card base and after that I smooshed Peeled Paint oxide ink to create the (in my view) prehistoric background! I color the dino with markers and I just follow the sketch to create the rest of the elements!

What do you think cute enough....

Many Thanks Monkey

Hello my Sweet Crafty Friends it's time for a new
at the Ellen Hutson ClassRoom

My card today is a mix of Ellen Hutson and Reverse Confetti
products I just loooove this cute Monkey from a little
stamp set called "Monkey Business"

I die cut the Many Thanks sentiment from Ellen Hutson to make
a background for my card in black cardstock and also die cut
three vellum clouds from the Silver Linings by Julie
and added Mermen Lawn Fawn ink to give them some color.

I put sequins to embellish my sweet little card
I have been playing for some time now on the
ClassRoom blog and it has been AWESOME!

Hope you have a great day!
