Stenciled Dry Embossed and Gradient Oxide Ink Cards

Hello there, Waleska from craftinglovew, thank you stopping by today.  My post is part of the Heat Embossed /Dry Embossed  Techniques with Stencils the Design Team is sharing.  I decided to use a Dry Embossed technique to share with you.

CARD DETAILS:

To start with my cards I did a dry embossing technique with the Hearts Galore Craftin Desert Divas Stencil.  To do  this you will need a die cutting machine, your normal plates and a silicone mat.  Your sandwich will be:
1. Tab 1
2. Acrylic Plate 1
3. Silicone Mat
4. Piece of Paper you want to emboss
5. Stencil
6. Acrylic Plate 2
Run all this into your die cutting machine, you will find that is very tight, but it totally works great!!

After I have my Dry Embossed pieces I used different colors of Oxide Inks, a soft and a brighter color to add to the pieces.  The soft for the entire front and the brighter color for the edges.

I used the brighter color also mixed with water to add water splashes to the piece for more interest.

I used the super sweet Garden Bugs Stamp set for this cards, I colored them with markers in the same colors from the dry embossed panels I created.

I adhere with 3D foam the cute bugs and I also adhere all the panels to black card bases.

To finish my cards I added glitter glue to the wings and some other parts of the stamped imgage and added the sentiment on a black strip with white embossing powder.

I hope you find this helpful, and can be inspired to use your stencils to give dimension and a different look to your cards!

Have a Great Day!

Brutus Monroe Hot Air Balloons

Hello Friends, thank you for stopping by my blog for another Wednesday Quick Tip using Brutus Monroe stamps and products, every Wednesday you can find a blog hop at the Brutus Monroe blog with a Weekly Product of the week you can find the hop HERE.   This week we are featuring the  new Hot Air Balloon stamp set.

QUICK TIP:

For today´s  Quick Tip, I have this fun card with this adorable hot air balloons, you can use ink to give dimension and color to white elements in your card, to do that I used Rock Candy Surface Ink on the edges of the clouds, another quick tip on today's card is that you have to remember that when making scene cards the objects that are far away are smaller than the ones that are in the front, that helps your design to be more realistic and harmonic.

I really like the look of the die cut clouds and the stamped clouds in the back.

Now is your turn, use ink to give color and dimension to white elements on your cards! Remember also to join us at the Brutus Monroe Fan Club to know the latest news from Christopher and lots of inspiration from the Design Team HERE.

Sending you Love,

Stamping with Dies/adding small Die Cut Accents to Create a Background

Hello there, Waleska from craftinglovew here... thank you for stopping by!!!! Today I want to share a set of cards I create, with the Stamping with Dies Technique.  When I created this cards I was thinking of a set of cards you can give to someone as a present, so they can give away for different occasions... For that purpose I used the word WISHING in the front of the 3 cards so the person you give this cards, can decide what to write inside each the card: Wishing you get better, Wishing you were here, Wishing a happy anniversary... let me share how I create them:

CARD DETAILS:

I started by cutting some flowers and leaves from fun foam (any kind would work) to create my stamps, I adhere them to an acrylic block and decide my ink color combo... I went for my favorite combination of teal colors from Lawn Fawn.

I started stamping with the lightest color ink and the smallest flower die, leaving some blank spaces to add more flowers, I then used the second color of ink to stamp with other color the big flower, I also added some dots with a pencil eraser.

I created 3 different backgrounds with this die cut flowers following the same instruccions from the first example, I just tried to fill the most part of my white card panels with the different flowers and leaves.

I die cut the wishing word from gold cardstock and I also from gold cardstock I cut some small die cuts to create dimension and accentuate the gold on my card bases.

We all have some small dies that can be used to add dimension to our cards I used some little leaves, some palm tree leaves and the tiniest circles too.

I adhere my stamped panel to a gold background and then to a white card base.

I hope you like my cards and can give this idea a try, use your dies to create fun backgrounds and also use your small dies to create card accents!

Have a wonderful day!
