Cockatoo pop up Vase/Scrappy Tail Crafts

Hello Friends Waleska Galindo here sharing with you today a 3D project using the new A7 Four Sided Trapeze Pop Up die ,the lovely Cockatoo Metal die and the Tropical Leave Assortment dies which are from the newest June Die Collection this dies are so versatile and fun you willl love them.

PROJECT DEATAILS:
I started by die cutting the two pieces to create the vase and the pieces to decorate too.  I first adhered the decorating pieces and then started to assemble the vase.  HERE is the video where Sabrina shares how to assemble this fun A7 Trapeze shaped pop up vase.

After I assembled the vase I started die cutting the cockatoo pieces with the two colors I used for the vase (I wanted all to coordinate) I also die cut some tropical leaves in the same color of green cardstock I used before.  I added some ink to the green pieces with Lucky Clover Oxide ink to give more dimension to these pieces and finally started assembling this decor piece.

I just love how this looks, this would be a great summer present for a bird lover friend or a piece of decoration on your home.  Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Adding Dimension with Glossy Accents and Nuvo Sparkle Dust

Hello Friends, Waleska from craftinglovew here to share with you some ideas on adding dimension with Glossy Accents and Nuvo Sparkle Dust.  There are many ways to add dimension and accentuate your cards, but this is a very easy way to use what you already have at home to create beautiful sparkle and shine to your card.

CARD DETAILS:

I started die cutting the new balloon border die from the Party Border dies and I cut individual balloons.

I colored a bunch of balloons with oxide ink colors Cracked Pistachio, Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber and set it aside to create the card background.  For the background I put Cracked Pistachio Oxide ink with a little water to my mat and smooshed the card base.

After that I adhere  some balloons to a tape strip and put a first coat of Glossy accents and Nuvo Sparkle Dust to each of the balloons, because the dust is so fine the color of the balloons stay almost the same, I let it dry and after that put a second coat of glossy accents to seal all the fine glitter and give the balloons more dimension.

Here is a closer look of the balloons with the second coat of glossy accents and the Sparkle dust already sealed on the first coat... I looove all the sparkle and shine!!!

I die cut the awesome Stitched box die  with Kraft Cardstock (this die was made to have dimension and give a 3D look).

I adhere the piece with the balloon box to a Kraft cardstock and then to a white card base, I added some sequins for more color and stamp the sentiment!!

I hope you like my card and can give this idea a try! This card design can send happiness to anybody special to you!  Have a great day!!!

Alcohol Inks Card

Hello Friends, Waleska here with the very last post of the year!!!! What a year we had at CDD.... the cutest stamps, unique and great dies, lots of new products added to the shop, the amazing digital stamps well... too many cool stuff to mention!!! we are ready for a new year of more products you will love!!!  today I want to share with you a fun card with a very unique background made with the very popular Alcohol Inks!

CARD DETAILS:

For my card today I used Ranger Alcohol Ink in color Purple Twilight, and Silver Mixative, I did two panels in Yupo Paper on my first panel I use less of the Silver Mixative and for the second I used lots of the Silver Mixitive I used a little straw I had at home to move the colors, the secret in my opinion is to put a good amount of the alcohol ink and start blowing right away before the ink dries!!

For the card base I cut an A4 piece of black cardstock to 15cm along the long side. Score and fold at 5 cm and 5 cm from each side. Cut another piece of cardstock 18 x 4 cms (to put the sentiment).  Cut the alcohol panels:
 2 stripes 4.5 x 14.5
1 stripe 3.5 x 17.5
1 rectangle 8.5 x 14.5
Glue all this to the black card base

I color some of the trolls from the new Celebration Trolls stamp set with purple colors that will coordinate with the background and I  adhere them with foam tape to give them dimension I finally cut the Wishing word die in glitter cardstock and some little stars too and stamp the sentiment with silver embossing powder to a black banner. I love this card is so festive and unique with the trolls and the alcohol inks!!!

I hope you like my card,  have an amazing and Happy New Year 2018!! I hope all your dreams can come true on this coming year!!! Remember also the great special sale we have for you, but hurry will end soon!! Have a great Celebration today!
