Sunny Studio Stamps for their 7th Birthday Blog Hop and new Fall & Holiday Release

Hi there! Today I’m joining Sunny Studio Stamps for their 7th Birthday Blog Hop and new Fall & Holiday Release as a new Design Team Member, how amazing is that? I have been a fan of Sunny Studio for a long time and I am honored to be part of their team!

CARD DETAILS:

For today's hop, I am sharing this card featuring the oh so adorable new stamp set Squirrel Friends.  I first started with the background, when I make a card I almost always start with a color combo in mind so I decided to ink blend my background with Oxide Ink Peacock Feathers leaving the center of this panel almost white, I splatter some water and sparkle watercolor too. I then started coloring all the squirrels, to color them I used:
E29/E27/E15/E13 starting with the darkest color. I then die cut the Autumn Tree die and three pumpkins from the Pumpkin Patch die and I added some color with oxide inks Vintage Photo for the tree trunk and Ripe Persimmon for the pumpkins.

I also used different tones of orange markers on the leaves.  I then started assembling the card using 3D foam tape to have different dimensions and finally I added the frame from the Fancy Frame Rectangle Dies, I used one of the fun sentiments from the squirrel set too.

I hope you enjoy today’s card and have fun hopping along remember there is a $25 gift code for all of you joining us and leaving comments on the different stops on the hop! Cockatoo pop up Vase/Scrappy Tail Crafts

Hello Friends Waleska Galindo here sharing with you today a 3D project using the new A7 Four Sided Trapeze Pop Up die ,the lovely Cockatoo Metal die and the Tropical Leave Assortment dies which are from the newest June Die Collection this dies are so versatile and fun you willl love them.

PROJECT DEATAILS:
I started by die cutting the two pieces to create the vase and the pieces to decorate too.  I first adhered the decorating pieces and then started to assemble the vase.  HERE is the video where Sabrina shares how to assemble this fun A7 Trapeze shaped pop up vase.

After I assembled the vase I started die cutting the cockatoo pieces with the two colors I used for the vase (I wanted all to coordinate) I also die cut some tropical leaves in the same color of green cardstock I used before.  I added some ink to the green pieces with Lucky Clover Oxide ink to give more dimension to these pieces and finally started assembling this decor piece.

I just love how this looks, this would be a great summer present for a bird lover friend or a piece of decoration on your home.  Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Halloweener Team 2022/ Wolfman Card

Hello Friends it is Halloween time on my blog!!!! Today I have some exciting news for you!!! Whimsy Stamps has started a new Halloweener Design Team, and I am part of it.  Halloween is a big deal at Whimsy, so it is only fitting that they have a design team dedicated to promoting that halloween season. I want to share the first of many many Halloween cards I will be creating!

CARD DETAILS:

For my very first card I wanted to create something spooky... what is more spooky than a creepy Wolfman looking for you!!!!  I started this card by die cutting with black cardstock the Howling Night Die set.  This set comes with 8 dies you can use to create Halloween scenes on cards of various sizes including slimline, and A2 cards, also great for scrapbook pages too. This amazing set includes a graveyard border, cliff edges, a tree, moon, and 3 wolves in various poses it also comes with embossed details on the moon and cliff.

I end up using only the graveyard border, the wolfman and the bats.  I created the background using Oxide inks in colors Candied Apple, Vintage Photo and Black Soot only on the edges of a white card base, I left the center white for a night spooky look around the moon.

For the moon I used Distress ink in color Pumice Stone and Black soot and I added some water splashes as well as some sparkle with a watercolor sparkle silk.  I finish this card creating the spooky scene and adhering this panel to a red and black card base.  I used the sentiment in the Creepy Clowns set with white embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! expect more halloween cards and projects from this halloween lover using super spooky Whimsy Stamps products.  See you in your nightmares!

Stitched Sunflowers Scrappy Tail Crafts

Hello Friends, I hope your day is great! Today I want to share with you a card I created using a die in a different way.  I love finding new ways to use the dies I already own, and in the card I created for you today I used a technique I am currently obsessed with Stitching on cards.  Even though this flower die included on the Slimline Fairy House Add on die was not intended for that I managed to do some stitching, let me share with you how I did it.

This is the die and it comes with some little holes, well I used those holes for stitching to add a different detail to the flower.  I first die cut the piece in two colors white and brown, I stitched the flower with a yellow Embroidery Floss, I then inked the stitched flower with Mustard Seed Oxide ink and adhered the center of the flower.

For the cardbase I used kraft cardstock and in the center of the flowers I used kraft cardstock too inked with Vintage Photo Oxide ink.

I created a focal point in the up part of the cardbase with white cardstock, I added a yellow strip above and below of this piece and adhered the stitched flowers and some leaves from the Assorted Leaves Metal Dies I also stamped the sentiment and added some gems.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you give this idea a try!  Have a wonderful day!
